Plans for a new daycare for dogs in a Gedling business park have been approved by the borough council.
Applicant The Good Boy Club Limited submitted plans for the pet facility at Unit 10 of the Armitage Business Park, off Private Road No. 3, Colwick, in September last year.
The plans were approved by Gedling Borough Council on Thursday (9 January).
The business will provide daycare for dogs seven days a week and will be open from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays and until 6 pm on weekends.
Papers state: “The facility will offer a safe and controlled environment for their supervision and well-being during the day.”
Documents also state that up to seven people will be employed at the site.
The existing access to the site will continue to be utilised, with papers citing “ample parking” for the units on the site.
The applicant states that they will take measures to ensure any noise impact will be kept to a minimum, “including soundproofing where necessary.”
The unit forms part of a larger industrial building that was undergoing works to divide the site into smaller units.
There was no active business operation taking place during the works, though these are now nearing completion, and the dog facility will not change the structure or layout of the unit.
These works are nearing completion and are in the finalisation process, and the plans for the dog facility will not alter the structure or layout of the unit.
The existing industrial building was previously suitable for business, industrial, storage, and distribution uses.
