Police investigating an assault are appealing for the victim to come forward.
Officers have been made aware of a video showing a man being assaulted in Queen Street, Mansfield town centre.
It is believed the attack happened yesterday (Monday) evening.
The victim and any other witnesses who have not yet made contact are being encouraged to come forward.
Chief Inspector Christopher Sutcliffe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is an appalling display of violence and we are working hard to identify all those involved so they can answer for their actions.
“As part of our investigation we are keen to speak to the victim and we urge him or anyone who knows him to come forward. Similarly we would like to speak to any other people who either witnessed the attack or came to the aid of the victim.”
Anyone with information is asked to all 101, quoting incident 230 of 31 May 2022.
