An investigation is underway following the disappearance of Jamie Poole, aged 36, who was reported missing from the Newark area last week.
Jamie was last seen on CCTV footage around 7pm last Tuesday (28 October), walking towards the River Trent.
Despite ongoing searches by Nottinghamshire Police, Jamie has not yet been located.
Detectives have been tracing his movements from that evening, and specialist police dive teams have been carrying out daily searches of the River Trent.
Officially trained volunteers have also been assisting along the riverbanks, but so far without success.
Police are asking the public not to post speculation or potentially insensitive information online about Jamie’s whereabouts.
Sharing unverified details could cause significant distress to Jamie’s family during this extremely difficult time.
Instead, anyone with information should report it through official channels, so it can be investigated thoroughly.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 660 of 28 October 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
