Police hunt BMW driver after fatal collision

Police have released a CCTV image of a BMW in an appeal to trace the driver as part of their investigation into a fatal collision on the Pentagon Island in Derby.

The car, believed to be a grey BMW 1 series, was seen to pass by the scene, near to the entrance to Derbyshire County Cricket Club, just moments before, at 8pm on Sunday 12 November.

Officers are keen to speak to the driver as a witness who may have vital information that could help with their enquiries.

Police said:

‘A 30-year-old man has been charged with causing death by careless driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision and causing death while driving unlicensed.
