Police investigating a robbery during which a man was assaulted have released an image of the bike that was stolen.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was reportedly approached by two or three youths in an alleyway near Hope Close, The Meadows, shortly after 7.50pm on Tuesday evening.
After pushing the victim to the ground and threatening him, the youths fled the scene.
The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises but was not seriously injured.
The stolen bicycle is said to have been modified slightly since this picture was taken but we believe it is largely unchanged.
Detective Sergeant Nick Wood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a violent and nasty incident and I am determined to get to the bottom if it as quickly as possible. Tracing this bike is a step in our investigation so I would like to hear from anyone who has seen it being ridden over the last 48 hours. We’d also like to trace a suspect who is described as white with distinctive shoulder length, braided hair.”
“If you witnessed this incident or have any information that may help our investigation please don’t hesitate to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting incident number 677 of 1 September.”
