The rider of an illegal electric motorcycle was pulled from his untaxed and uninsured bike by a police officer.
The Surron bike was spotted riding with no lights or number plates shortly after 1am on Friday 5 September.
Officers followed the bike along Bilborough Road, Wollaton, before the rider lost control and crashed his bike on a pavement.
As he attempted to remount and ride away, a quick-thinking officer chased him on foot and wrestled him from the bike.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
The bike was seized and may now be crushed.
PC Olivia Pettitt of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“These bikes are at best a nuisance and at worst a lethal danger to riders, pedestrians and other road users.
“When we see them being ridden illegally in this way, we will always look to take action.”
“The good news is that this untaxed, uninsured danger to other road users has now been taken off the roads for good.”
