Police operation seizes nuisance off-road bike

Mansfield’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, in collaboration with Operation Reacher, confiscated an off-road motorbike that was being ridden in a disruptive and anti-social manner.

The vehicle was discovered on the land locally referred to as the “Desert” in Mansfield.

The motorbike, which was unregistered and had no valid MOT and insurance, was intercepted by officers as it emerged from the desert onto a public highway.

This incident not only highlighted the vehicle’s anti-social usage but also underscored the risk it posed to other motorists by being unroadworthy and uninsured.

The incident serves as a stern warning to potential offenders that swift and decisive action will be taken to deal with any unlawful activities on the roads, say police
