Police seek group after collision involving car and motorbike

Police officers have released a video of a group they’d like to speak with following a collision between a car and a motorbike in rural Bassetlaw.

A group of motorbike and quad bike riders were travelling on Green Lane, Babworth, when the collision occurred.

It’s believed the incident happened on 26 April around 4pm.

Officers have been making local inquiries and believe the people captured in the footage may have vital information which would assist in the investigation.

They have now urged anyone who recognise individuals in the group to come forward.

PC Hollie Marsh, of the East Bassetlaw neighbourhood policing team, said:

“We are in the process of trying to find the driver of the motorbike who appears to be seriously injured – if this was you, I urge you to get in touch.

“We’re also keen to understand what happened in the moments leading up to and after the collision and think the individuals in this video can help us.

“Police have a duty of care to road users and pedestrians, and we are taking this incident seriously.

“We appreciate that the video is not of the best quality but we believe that if someone knows this group, or recognises the vehicles featured, they will be able to help us identify them.

“Do you know the individuals in this video? Are you one of the people in the video? We’d encourage anyone who can help to call us on 101 quoting occurrence number 26*240410, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
