A suspect has been arrested after a man suffered serious injuries in a road crash.
A further call was then received saying a car had collided with the man.
The man, aged in his 20s, was discovered to have suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.
Officers launched an investigation and have arrested a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Sergeant Mark Baker, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Officers have worked quickly and efficiently to trace the vehicle involved and the arrest is an important step in our investigation.
“However, we still want to hear from anyone with any information which could help with our inquiries.
“It is particularly important that anyone with relevant dashcam footage gets in touch with officers.”
