The outage was reported at 4:10 pm on Saturday 7 December.
National Grid said:
‘We are aware of this power cut outage which was raised at 4:10 pm this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible.
‘We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.’
‘There is a fault on our high voltage network in your area which we are working hard to resolve.’
The power company suggests that power will be restored by 8 pm on Saturday evening.
At 4:30 pm 633 properties are reported to be off power supply.
