Prime Minister Boris Johnson is due to make a televised statement this evening Sunday 12 December.
The address will be about Covid on BBC One at 8 pm on Sunday.
He is expected to provide an update on the booster vaccination programme that is ongoing.
The BBC has been informed there will not be any more new rules or restrictions announced.
