Officers have released images of a man they wish to trace after a public toilet attack that left the victim with a broken nose.
The incident happened at Oliver’s Pub and Kitchen on Nottingham Road, Eastwood, on Sunday, 18 August, at around 12:30 am.
A 51-year-old man was socialising with friends at the pub and went to use the toilet. Upon leaving the toilet, a man unknown to the victim lunged towards him and headbutted him in the face. The suspect then left the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital, where a scan revealed he had sustained a broken nose.
PC Aron Oszko, who is investigating the incident, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack on a man who was simply leaving the toilets to return to his friends.
“The victim was left in a great deal of agony due to the actions of this individual, and we are determined to ensure he is caught.
“We have followed several lines of inquiry since this incident occurred in August. We are now in a position to release images of a man who could help us with our inquiries, and we are calling on the public’s help to identify him.
“Do you know the man in the images? Are you the man in the images? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
