Image released after rail staff verbally and physically assaulted on Nottinghamshire train

British Transport Police are today issuing an image following an assault on board a train between Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Mansfield Woodhouse stations.

The incident happened at around 8.50 pm on Sunday 3 March when a man was verbally abusive towards a member of rail staff.

The man then pushed the staff member causing him to injure his knee before leaving the service at Mansfield Woodhouse at around 9 pm.

Officers believe the man in the image above may have information to help their investigation.
