Roads closed in city after fight leaves one in hospital

Police closed Lower Parliament Street in Nottingham.

Road closures are in place in the city.

Nottinghamshire Police said:

‘“Officers were called to Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, at 12.43pm today (30 September), following reports of two people fighting in the road.

“One person has been taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries. Road closures are currently in place in Lower Parliament Street and Southwell Road while officers investigate what happened.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has dash-cam footage is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 434 of 30 September 2022.”

Nottingham City Transport said:

‘Severe delays on all services because of road closures for an ongoing incident on the edge of the City Centre, near our depot / Arena. Thank you for your patience.’
