Roadworks and lane closures to affect Nottingham routes next week

Drivers are being warned of road closures, lane closures and temporary traffic lights affecting several routes in Nottingham next week.

The longest-running disruption is on Lindfield Road, which is closed between Alwyn Road and Shipley Road for Severn Trent works. The closure started on Sunday 15 March and is due to remain in place until Friday 21 August.

On Nuthall Road, a lane closure remains in place between Western Boulevard and Melbourne Road for footway works. The restriction began on Monday 20 April and is expected to continue until Friday 17 July.

Cadent Gas works are also affecting a number of routes.

From Monday 8 June until Friday 19 June, there is a rolling lane closure on Middleton Boulevard between Sutton Passey’s Crescent and Hawton Crescent.

Multi-way traffic lights will be in place at the Lambourne Drive junction of Ellwood Crescent from Monday 15 June until Friday 10 July.

Further Cadent works will also see multi-way lights installed at the Wollaton Road junction of Lambourne Drive from Monday 15 June until Friday 26 June.

Virgin Media works are taking place on Stockhill Lane, with two-way temporary traffic lights in place between Mill Street and Rock Court from Friday 12 June until Tuesday 16 June.

Two-way lights will also be in use on Abbeyfield Road over the weekend of Saturday 13 June and Sunday 14 June for National Grid works.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys through the affected areas.
