The Conservative Group at Rushcliffe Borough Council have announced plans to establish a Youth Council in Rushcliffe.
The proposal will be discussed by councillors at the Corporate Overview Group to establish the youth council which will allow young people in Rushcliffe to give their views on key service areas in Rushcliffe including:
Environment
Climate Change
Leisure and sport
Crime
The Youth Council will be aiming to get representation from schools across the Borough in different age groups
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Simon Robinson said:
“It is very important that young people have their say on key topics which have a big impact on their lives and their future.
“The Conservative Group believes a Youth Council is the best forum for young people to have their say and I look forward to receiving the recommendations from the Scrutiny Group next year.”
