Rushcliffe: Consultation launched on public spaces dog control order

It is proposed to continue with the PSPO in its current form as established in 2022 without amendment unless there is evidence and support for changes to the Order from this consultation.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has launched a consultation on the renewal of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for the control of dogs in the district.

The council says that this will continue to cover the whole of the district with the exception of an area of Tollerton identified in the schedules to the Order, to control dog fouling, restrict dogs to leads in certain circumstances and the prohibition of dogs in certain areas.

They add that it is proposed to continue with the PSPO in its current form as established in 2022 without amendment unless there is evidence and support for changes to the Order from this consultation.

The Consultation will run until Friday 7 March 2025 and all responses will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet meeting in spring (May) for consideration of comments any amendments and approval.
