‘We know it’s a longer journey but If we have no customers for 3 weeks we will really struggle! We have complained to NCC as to why they have allowed so many road closures in the area at the same time. Absolutely crazy in our opinion but what do we know!

‘Please can we ask a favour? Can you share this post for us so we can get the message out to all our customers. We would be very grateful. Thank you.’

The works, being carried out by Cadent, will see Cotgrave Road in Normanton on the Wolds closed between its junction with Melton Road and Clipston Lane. A short section of Cotgrave Road in Plumtree, extending around 50 metres south-west from the Melton Road junction, will also be affected.

The restrictions began at 7am on Wednesday 4 March and are scheduled to remain in place until 6pm on Tuesday 24 March 2026. The road closure and temporary traffic signals will operate 24 hours a day throughout the duration of the works.

Temporary two-way traffic signals will also be installed on the A606 Melton Road at its junction with Cotgrave Road.

Signed diversion routes will be in place via Cotgrave Road, Cotgrave Lane, Tollerton Lane and the A606 for traffic travelling through Normanton on the Wolds, while an alternative diversion for Plumtree traffic will operate via Cotgrave Road, Old Melton Road and the A606.
