Firefighters are tackling an industrial fire near Bilsthorpe village after reports of a large plume of smoke.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said seven fire engines were sent to Kirklington Road in Bilsthorpe following a call at 4.41am on Tuesday, 21 July.
Residents who can see or smell smoke have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
People are also being asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes while emergency crews remain at the scene.
The fire service has warned members of the public not to fly drones above or near the incident.
