A stolen bike and a knife were two of the discoveries made by Sherwood officers during a productive day on patrol.
The neighbourhood officers spent their Sunday (12 May) out in the community – both on foot and driving around in the squad cars.
As well as providing a visible presence on the streets and engaging with members of the public, the team uncovered multiple offences too.
A knife was first found discarded in the garden of a property in Sherwood around 9.45am.
Following this, a motorbike that had been reported stolen the previous night was discovered in a separate garden just off the Edwards Lane estate.

Officers made that discovery while they were tracking a disqualified driver who had abandoned their car nearby.
The neighbourhood team also gathered numerous pieces of intelligence during their patrol, including around a prolific shoplifter who has previously targeted stores in the area.
Despite recently receiving a criminal behaviour order banning them from entering certain shops, the suspect in question breached this order and is set to be now arrested as a result.
PC Aiden Cook, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This Sunday provided a good example of the wide range of criminal activity we can come across during our patrols in Sherwood.
“On this occasion, we found a discarded knife in a garden, seized a stolen motorbike, and gathered the intelligence needed to arrest a prolific shoplifter who breached an order against them.
“One of our key policing priorities in the city north area is targeting acquisitive crimes such as theft, so this proved to be a productive day, while we were also able to engage with the public and provide that reassurance.”
