Nottinghamshire weather for Monday 22 June as temperatures reach 28˚C

Monday 22 June is expected to be hot, dry and sunny, with temperatures rising quickly through the morning before reaching around 28°C during the afternoon and early evening.

Early morning

The day will start dry and sunny, with temperatures around 15°C at 5am, rising to 16°C by 6am and 7am, and 18°C by 8am. The chance of rain remains below 5%. Winds will come from the east-north-east, turning easterly by 8am, at around 7 to 8 mph, with gusts between 12 and 17 mph. UV levels will be low at first, rising from 1 to 2 by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry, sunny and increasingly warm. Temperatures will rise from 20°C at 9am to 22°C by 10am, 24°C at 11am and 26°C by midday. The chance of rain remains below 5%. Winds will come from the east to east-south-east at around 8 to 9 mph, with gusts close to 19 to 21 mph. UV levels will rise from 3 at 9am to 5 at 10am, 6 at 11am and 7 by midday.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be hot and sunny. Temperatures will reach 27°C at 1pm and 28°C from 2pm through to 5pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% for most of the afternoon, rising slightly to around 10% by 3pm. Winds will come from the east-south-east at around 10 to 11 mph, with gusts reaching about 22 to 23 mph. UV levels remain high, around 6 at 1pm and 2pm, before easing to 4 by 3pm.

Evening

The evening will stay dry, sunny and warm at first, with clearer skies later. Temperatures will hold around 28°C at 5pm and 6pm, before easing to 27°C at 7pm, 25°C at 8pm, 24°C at 9pm, 22°C at 10pm and 21°C by 11pm. The chance of rain is around 20% at 5pm and 6pm, 10% from 7pm to 10pm, then below 5% by 11pm. Winds will remain mainly east-south-easterly to easterly, at around 8 to 11 mph, with gusts easing from about 23 mph to 16 mph later. UV levels will fall from 2 at 5pm to 1 early in the evening before fading after sunset.
