Police arrested a man after finding a sock stuffed with suspected cocaine when they pulled over a car in Nottingham.
Officers from the knife crime team were on patrol in Sneinton on Wednesday (30 September) when they had reason to stop the vehicle in Carlton Road.
One man inside the car was detained while officers carried out searches.
Along with the sock, which contained deal wraps of suspected cocaine and was found behind air vents in the centre console of the car, officers seized cash and a mobile phone.
Another sock, which is believed to have previously been used to store drugs, was also recovered.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Police Constable Joe Riley, of the knife crime team, said:
“We had reason to believe the vehicle was previously involved in drug crime so pulled it over while on patrols in city south.
“The drugs were well concealed behind air vents but thanks to a thorough search, officers were able to seize them and they will now be destroyed.”
