Officers have released CCTV images of two people they wish to trace after a student was stabbed.
The 21-year-old victim was first attacked in Broad Street, in Nottingham’s Hockley area, by two masked men. He managed to flee before being attacked again in nearby Carlton Street.
The attackers fled the scene and the victim was taken to hospital and treated for injuries that were neither life-altering or life-threatening.
Officers have carried out a number of lines of inquiry to identify the suspects since the incident in the early hours of 2 November last year, which has included examining CCTV images.
Police have now released an image capturing two people they wish to trace (circled in red) who could help officers with their investigation. One of them is wearing a Trapstar coat with orange lettering on the back.
Police Staff Investigator Jayne Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Luckily, the victim was not seriously injured. However, this does not take away how seriously we are treating this incident.
“Violence such as this is completely unacceptable and we are determined to catch those responsible and ensure they are put before the courts.
“We have released images of two people who could help us with our inquiries. We are calling on the public’s help to identify them.
“We appreciate their faces cannot be seen, however we are appealing for anyone who may recognise them from their clothing to please come forward with any information they have to help us identify them.
