Two suspects have been arrested after a teenager suffered knife wounds during a street robbery.
Police were called to Bartholomew’s Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham, at around 3.30 pm on Friday (17 April) following reports that the boy had been assaulted.
The 17-year-old had been riding a scooter along an alleyway when he was approached by another teenager who was also riding a scooter.
The victim was ordered to hand over his scooter and, when he refused, was stabbed in the arm and leg.
The offender then fled on his own scooter, and members of the public helped the victim before he was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not life-altering or life-threatening in nature.
An investigation was launched, and two 15-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and committing grievous bodily harm.
One of the suspects was also held on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place in relation to the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This will have been extremely upsetting for the victim, and we are in contact with his family and supporting them.
“Officers have worked quickly to arrest two suspects, and our investigations are continuing.
“I’d like to thank the members of the public who stopped to help the victim.”
