A teenager has been arrested following reports of a knifepoint street robbery.
Police were called to Southfield Road, Beechdale, Nottingham, around 6.30pm on Sunday (16 August) after a witness reported seeing a delivery driver being robbed.
Officers found a group of witnesses in Western Boulevard but the victim had left the scene and has not yet been located.
Following area searches, a suspect was located nearby and arrested.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
Detectives are now continuing in their efforts to locate the victim and discover exactly what happened.
Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We’re working to trace the victim to take their account and offer support.
“Robbery is a very serious offence so I’m pleased officers were able to quickly locate a suspect.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or has any recorded footage on their mobile phone, dashcam or doorbell camera.”
