The announcement comes after Pizza Hut launched a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) restructuring decision.
A spokesperson for The Cornerhouse said: “We’re sad to confirm that The Cornerhouse Pizza Hut restaurant is now closed.
“We can tell you that we will be welcoming a brand-new venue in the near future, which will be full of flavour!
“We can’t tell you who…but you won’t be disappointed!”
Pizza Hut Delivery has entered a partnership with Nine Group which will become the major franchisee for 31 existing Pizza Hut Delivery and Express Huts.
Through the new deal, Nine Group also plan to open 40 new Pizza Hut restaurants inn the UK.
The new group is expected to expand Pizza Hut by 30 delivery and ten express Huts in the next three years, creating 800 jobs and opportunities for existing team members.
The first is due to open in the Merryhill Centre in Dudley as a Pizza Hut Express in December.
The partnership is another step towards Pizza Hut Delivery’s growth plans in the UK and Europe.
In November 2020, Pizza Hut Delivery announced plans to open 125 new locations over a three-year period – creating about 2,000 additional jobs.
