Prospective new business owners in Rushcliffe are being signposted to completely free training and advice to take their enterprise dream forward with Rushcliffe Borough Council’s new partnership with Rebel on Demand.

The authority has joined forces with the team from the online small business experts to give potential new owners insight, advice and tips at a time to suit them and explore where a business idea can be transferred into a trading reality.

Their specially curated video, written and audio content is available to all learners 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The advice is intended to be a starting point for a new business with short videos and helpful tips including analysing the concept of their potential business idea.

They include words on getting unstuck from the concept of a new business idea, how to choose which idea would make a sustainable business and how to get better results to step back and re-evaluate what and how to invest into a business.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Andy Edyvean said: “We’re pleased to offer further free support for prospective business owners and entrepreneurs who can engage with this advice and expertise.

“We’re aware how COVID-19 has accelerated the digital basis of so many businesses and given many the confidence to explore an idea without some of the traditional overheads business can attract.

“Therefore Rebel on Demand’s content is available for all to use and give all those with enterprise inspiration assistance and assurance to get an idea off the ground.”

Users can gain access to all existing articles written by the Rebel on Demand team including a ‘Survival Guide’ series that was created in 2020 to help small businesses adapt and thrive during the pandemic.

Course notes pair with live courses and cover the key learnings that can take the participants through over a two week period of engagement.

The online course notes are written so that they can be experienced independently from the live course so all can still participate in line with their schedule.
