Three arrests after machete incident in Nottingham city – teenager injured

Three people have been arrested after a teenage boy was injured in a suspected machete attack in Nottingham city centre.

Police were called to Glasshouse Street at around 7.36pm on Wednesday 28 January following reports of a confrontation involving a group of males in a public area.

A teenage boy is believed to have been struck with a machete during the incident. His injuries are currently described as non-life-threatening and not life-altering.

Officers arrested three people in connection with the incident, and enquiries are ongoing. High-visibility patrols remain in the area as part of the investigation and to provide reassurance to the public.

Nottinghamshire Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who has not already spoken to officers is asked to call 101 and quote incident number 637 of 28 January 2026, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
