It’s that time of year again when David Carter will be lighting up his home with a fantastic Christmas display to raise money for charity.
David said:
‘I have been doing this for the past 13 years, and this will be the tenth year in which I will be raising money for the RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre.
‘Santa Claus will perform the “Grand Switch-On”, which will take place on:
Sunday, 23 November, from 5 p.m.

‘I wonder what transport he will use this year? You will have to come to find out!
‘There will be the usual raffle, with a star prize this year of a gift voucher worth £550 for a photographic experience by Venture Studios of Beeston.

‘The animated light show lasts for nearly 15 minutes, and there is also a choir to entertain visitors, and refreshments will be available.
‘My display will be raising money for the RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre, to which I am affiliated. All donations go towards helping to care for the wonderful animals and the running of the centre, and they will be very much appreciated.

‘The centre is independently funded and costs over £800,000 to run annually; it receives no financial aid from the RSPCA National Society. Last year, I raised over £5,000, and this year I would like to exceed that amount.

‘I receive amazing feedback from visitors, and when I am asked why I do the display, I say it’s because I love doing it and get very excited to see the children’s faces light up – especially when they point at the different lights and effects.
‘Donations can be made by popping money into the red collection box outside the house, or alternatively, you can use the QR code on the notice board. This uses the JustGiving system and accommodates Gift Aid.
‘If you cannot make the Grand Switch-On on 23 November, don’t worry! My Christmas display will be on daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. until 1 January.
Every child attending receives a lollipop, except on the switch-on night, when there will be another treat for them.

There will also be a Santa’s Grotto on:
6, 13, 20 & 21 December, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
All times are subject to change at any time.
A donation per child.
Each child receives a gift.
You are welcome to take your own photos.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The display and Santa’s Grotto will be at my home:
4 Sandale Close, Gamston, Nottingham, NG2 6QG.
