Today’s Covid data delayed until this evening

Public Health England expect today’s Covid data to be delayed.

Update: figures through at 5:30 pm find them here 

In a note on its website it states:

‘Because of a delay in receiving cases data for England, today’s update is delayed.

‘The current estimate for release is 6pm

See below for yesterday’s numbers: 29 November 2021. 

There were 1,019,456 tests reported on 28 November 2021. This shows an increase of 4.7%compared to the previous 7 days.

Between 22 November 2021 and 28 November 2021, there have been 6,655,261 tests.

Cases

A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.

42,583 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 29 November 2021.

Between 23 November 2021 and 29 November 2021, 303,322 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous 7 days.

Vaccinations

Vaccines are currently given in 2 doses, at least 21 days apart.

50,941,327 people had been given a first dose by the end of 28 November 2021.

46,341,057 people had been given a second dose by the end of 28 November 2021.

Healthcare

Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.

769 people with coronavirus went into hospital on 23 November 2021.

Between 17 November 2021 and 23 November 2021, 5,429 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -11.2% compared to the previous 7 days.

There were 7,530 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 26 November 2021.

Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.

There were 925 coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 26 November 2021.

Deaths

There were 35 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 29 November 2021.

Between 23 November 2021 and 29 November 2021, there have been 838 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows a decrease of -18.4% compared to the previous 7 days.
