trentbarton is making changes to some of its fares from Sunday 4 October.
The £3 cash single cap is unaffected, with trentbarton continuing to monitor the Government backed initiative which is due to reduce to £2 in the New Year.
The mango app will continue to reward users with a 10 per cent discount on cash singles not impacted by the £3 fare cap, and discounts for concessions remain. The seven day cap for adults rises by just over 2% to £47, and to £33 for young people.
The seven day trentbartonland mango caps also include journeys on services run by sister operator Kinchbus.
trentbarton’s saver prices are rising. A seven day saver for zone A will be £26, a rise of 50p per week. saver offers anytime and unlimited travel with trentbarton within and across the zones that suit each customer. Prices are frozen for the savers which cover the whole of trentbartonland.
Fares for under 11s are frozen, at £1.20. The zigzag fare for solo travellers will go up by 20p to £9. zigzag duo, for two people, rises by 30p to £14.80 and the zigzag group ticket, for up to five people, increases to £19.30.
zigzag is an unlimited travel ticket, that means customers can travel anywhere across trentbartonland, excluding skylink Derby and X38, after 9am Monday to Friday and after 4am at the weekend. The zigzag plus add on for anytime travel will remain £3.50.
Tom Morgan, trentbarton managing director, said: “We are always sorry to have to raise any fares but we have worked hard to keep a large majority of increases below the rate of inflation.
“The increased cost of the fuels we use continues to place pressure on all providers of transport, including buses, so we need to make these modest price changes to reflect the world we operate in.
“Customers can rest assured that our range of discounts and caps mean they will always receive the best value fare we can provide them with.”

£3 on bus cash singles
The £3 capped single scheme will continue until the end of 2026, we are awaiting information from the Government on the £2 fare cap.

On bus singles and travel contactless will change on an individual basis. The Governments £3 single fare cap is still available on all our services except for red arrow and nightbuses.
