TUI UK is reintroducing direct flights from East Midlands Airport to the popular Egyptian destination of Sharm El Sheikh for Summer 2026, following strong customer demand.
The service will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, with the first flight scheduled for Thursday, 26 March 2026. The route was last operated during Summer 2023 and customers will once again have the opportunity to lap up the Sharm sunshine next year.
TUI UK&I Commercial Director Chris Logan said: “Due to strong customer demand, we are thrilled to once again connect the East Midlands with the stunning Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh. With hundreds of amazing resorts to choose from and guaranteed sunshine throughout the year, Sharm El Sheikh is the perfect escape for a summer holiday”.
East Midlands Airport’s Managing Director Steve Griffiths said: “We’re always pleased to be able to offer our customers a greater choice of destinations, so we’re delighted that TUI is resuming flights to Sharm El Sheikh which is growing in popularity. Customers can expect an effortless and enjoyable start to their trip to Egypt at East Midlands Airport.”
