Two 16-year-old boys, who can’t be named for legal reasons, are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 16 March 2026).
Both have been charged with three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of possessing a knife/blade/sharp-pointed article in a public place.
In relation to a separate incident, one of the suspects has also been charged with two further counts of wounding with intent and two counts of attempted wounding with intent.
This incident relates to a stabbing which happened inside an address in Eardley Road, Bestwood, on the night of 15 February.
Detective Sergeant Millie Gillett, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This kind of violence has absolutely no place in our communities and will always be met with a determined response from the force.
• Warmer weather arrives as 20ºC expected this Wednesday in Nottinghamshire
“We are absolutely committed to preventing and reducing incidents of knife crime in our communities and to taking robust action against anyone who gets involved in this kind of dangerous behaviour and intends to use bladed weapons to inflict harm on others.
“The reality is that carrying a knife is a no-win situation. It ruins lives and the consequences can be tragic for everyone involved.”
