Two suspects have been placed before the courts by detectives investigating a serious assault on a delivery driver.
The victim was confronted around 7.15pm on Thursday 17 September in Union Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham.
A group of offenders robbed the man and stole his moped.
He pursued them to try to retrieve his property but was then attacked in Bullivant Street.
Officers located the man and discovered he had suffered significant slash wounds which required emergency hospital treatment.
Suspects were identified by officers who analysed footage of the incident.
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested and have now been charged with robbery, wounding with intent and possession of a knife in public.
The 16-year-old has also been charged with a Bail Act offence.
Both youths, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (19 September) and were remanded in custody.
Detective Sergeant Kate Hyde, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The victim has suffered serious injuries in this attack and is being offered support.
“He has been updated about this important step in our investigation, and I hope he and other members of the public welcome our robust response to this incident.”
