Unauthorised dog medicine seized at East Midlands Airport

A package containing Panacur C canine deworming granules was identified by a courier company based at a depot in East Midlands Airport.

The package arrived from the US containing medicine destined for a residential address in Wales.

The medicine was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector.

The following medicine was seized:

  • 1 x box of Panacur C (Fenbendazole 22.2%) Canine Dewormer granules

This product is intended for use in dogs.

This product is not authorised for use in GB or NI and was not accompanied by any relevant certification to permit their import.

The medicines were seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
