The A1M is closed southbound between J35 (Doncaster) and J34 (Blyth) due to a field fire which is causing smoke to go acrosss the carriageway impacting drivers vision.
Nottingham Fire and Rescue are currently in attendance extinguishing the blaze.
Diversion Details
Southbound traffic is being diverted via the Hollow Square diversion symbol:
- Driving South, exit the A1 (M) Motorway using Junction 35 off slip road and proceed to the end of the slip road.
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto M18 Motorway (Northbound) and proceed along this road for approximately 10 miles to the junction with the M180 Motorway (M18 J5/M180
Interchange). - At the interchange exit the M18 Motorway using Junction 5 off slip road and proceed to the end of the slip road.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto M180 Motorway (Eastbound) and proceed for approximately 1 mile to the junction with the M180 Motorway (Junction 1).
- At the junction exit the M180 Motorway using Junction 1 off slip road and proceed to the end of the slip road.
- At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A18 and proceed along this road for approximately 1 mile to the junction with the A614.
- At the junction, turn left onto A614 and proceed along this road for approximately 10 miles to the junction with High Common Lane.
- At the junction, turn right onto High Common Lane and proceed along this road for approximately 1 mile to the junction with A638.
- At the junction, turn left onto A638 and proceed along this road for approximately 3 miles to the roundabout with A614.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A614 and proceed along this road for approximately 3 miles to the junction with the A1 (M)
Motorway (Junction 34). - At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to rejoin A1 South.
