The A38 in Derbyshire is closed northbound between the A610 (Lower Hartshay) and the A61 (near Alfreton) due to a serious collision involving at least 3 cars and a van.
All emergency services are in attendance including Air Ambulance.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the solid circle diversion symbol on road signs:
Light vehicles route:
Exit the A38(T) at Ripley junction on to the A610 heading west
Turn right at the signalised junction and travel on the B6013
Turn right at the Oakerthorpe junction onto the A615
Rejoin the A38 at the A61 junction
HGV route:
Exit the A38(T) at Ripley junction on to the A610 heading east for 16.4km
At M1 J26, take the northbound exit and travel on the M1 to J28 to rejoin the A38
