The A46 in Lincolnshire is closed in both directions between the A1434 (near Lincoln) and the B1190 (near Doddington) due to a collision involving an HGV and a large oil spillage.

The A46 in Lincolnshire is closed in both directions between the A1434 (near Lincoln) and the B1190 (near Doddington) due to a collision involving an HGV and a car.
This has resulted in a large oil spillage across both carriageways which will need to be treated and cleaned before the road can re-open.

Lincolnshire Police are among the emergency services in attendance. National Highways contractors will also be attending to assist with traffic management.
Diversion routes.
Travelling northbound follow the solid circle diversion symbol
- Exit the A46 at Hykeham Island and take the A1434 Newark Road heading north-east
- At the A1434 Newark Road/B1003 Tritton Road signalised junction turn left heading for Lincoln city centre
- At the next junction B1003 Tritton Road/B1190 Doddington Road turn left onto the B1190 Doddington Road
- Continue north/westbound along Doddington Road passing over the Rail level crossing and Station Road signalised Junction to the A46/B1190 Doddington Roundabout
- Re-join the A46 northbound
Travelling northbound follow the hollow square diversion symbol
- From the A46 at Doddington Roundabout and take the first exit left onto the B1190ington Road, heading south-east.
- Continue south/eastbound along the B1190 Doddington Road passing through the Station Road signalised junction and over the rail level crossing to the B1190/B1003 Doddington Road/Tritton Road Junction
- At the B1190/B1003 Doddington Road/Tritton Road Junction turn right onto the B1003 Tritton Road and continue southbound to the B1003/A1434 Tritton Road/Newark Road junction.
- At the junction take the A1434 in a south-westerly direction
- At Hykeham Roundabout re-join the A46 southbound.
