The A46 is closed southbound between the B676 and the A607 due to a collision which Leicestershire Police are dealing with.
Diversion Route
Drivers are advised to follow the Solid Square diversion route from the A6006 (Paddy’s Lane)
- Exit the A46 southbound at the A46/A6006 Dalby Junction.
- Take the exit slip road and continue up to the ‘T’ junction.
- At the ‘T’ junction, turn right onto the A6006 heading south-east and continue for 11.8km passing through Shoby and Asfordby Villages to the A6006/A607 Wilton Way/Norman Way signalised Junction in the centre of Melton Mowbray.
- Turn right onto the A607 Wilton Road and then Leicester Road out of Melton Mowbray.
- Follow the A607 south-westbound signed for Leicester for 16km, passing through Kirby Bellars, and around Brooksby, Rearsby and East Goscote Villages to the A46/A607 Cossington Junction.
- Rejoin the A46 southbound
