The new contraflow, introduced as part of the Broad Marsh demolition works, means traffic is running one lane in each direction on the northbound side of Maid Marian Way.

Severe traffic congestion in and around Nottingham city centre is causing major delays to bus services today, with several trentbarton routes being cut short.
The operator said ongoing demolition works on Maid Marian Way were making it particularly difficult for buses to get into and around the city centre, with heavy congestion affecting surrounding roads.
As a result, a number of services will terminate at Broadmarsh Bus Station until further notice and will not serve Friar Lane, Beastmarket Hill or Mount Street.
The affected services are:
- mainline – Broadmarsh Bay 6
- skylink Nottingham – Broadmarsh Bay 3
- skylink express – Broadmarsh Bay 2
- the cotgrave – Broadmarsh Bay 8
- the keyworth – Broadmarsh Bay 5
The i4 and indigo services will continue to serve Friar Lane as normal.

Due to the severe congestion experienced on Maid Marian Way, we’ve changed the City Centre routes for Turquoise Line until further notice. Turquoise 77/C, 78 and 79 are entering the City along Talbot Street to terminate on South Sherwood Street alongside NTU City Campus. Buses to Strelley and Bulwell will begin from Upper Parliament Street, stop U3.

Demolition works around Maid Marian Way are now causing significant delays to buses through Nottingham city centre.
Nottingham City Transport and trentbarton services are both affected, with delays reported through the Maid Marian Way, Broad Marsh and city-centre corridor.
Passengers using services through the area should allow extra time and check live departures before travelling.

Due to significant congestion in the City Centre, caused by the roadworks and lane closures on Maid Marian Way, services 25, 26, 27, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 are unable to serve King Street, Queen Street or Victoria Centre. Buses are stopping on King Edward Street, down the side of The Palais.
