Police are asking for the public’s help after a motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run collision.
The incident took place at the junction of Queen’s Road East and Tattershall Drive, Beeston, at around 5 pm on Thursday 12 January.
A car pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, resulting in a collision. The driver of the car – which appears to be a dark-coloured Audi A4 – then failed to stop.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was treated in hospital for a hand injury that could require surgery.
PC Steven Allcock, who is investigating the collision, said: “Although this collision was captured on the motorcyclist’s helmet camera, we have not been able to identify the car involved.
“We are therefore looking to trace anyone who may also have captured the car on dash cam footage.
“Fortunately the victim, in this case, was not more seriously hurt, but he was understandably very shaken by what happened.
“We would very much like to speak to the driver of the car and would urge him to come forward.”
Anyone who can assist with the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting reference 23*28701.
