Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has completed on the sale of West Bridgford Day Nursery, a growing day nursery business, to Poppy & Jack’s Group, an expanding nursery operator based in the North West of England.
The family-owned business, which opened in 2012, has been run by nursery operator Alison Putnar who sought a sale in order to achieve an improved balance between work and family life.
Alison said: “Following a number of years of fully immersing myself in the business and building a successful day nursery with a strong reputation I decided to sell. Jassi Sunner was instructed to sell the business due to the extensive local contacts and after a range of interest, we were lucky to receive competitive bidding generated by Jassi.’
The nursery was purchased by Poppy & Jack’s Group, an expanding operator with nine settings across the North West of England, with the acquisition of West Bridgford Day Nursery marking their tenth nursery overall, and their first within the Midlands.

West Bridgford Day Nursery was sold on a freehold basis, off an asking price of £850,000.
