The incident in the early hours of this morning took place on Welbeck Road in West Bridgford.
The scene shows a motorcycle which emergency services suspect was set alight deliberately – the fire then spread to the car parked directly behind it.
The scene is cordoned off for an investigation to take place.
Both vehicles have been destroyed by the blaze.
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service told us:
‘We received a call at 6:51 am on Monday 18 November to a vehicle fire in Welbeck Road, West Bridgford.
‘West Bridgford Fire Station attended the blaze and it was extinguished – an investigation suggests the fire was started deliberately to the motorcycle.’
Nottinghamshire Police told The Wire:
‘We are investigating an incident of criminal damage in West Bridgford, reported to us at 7.10am this morning (Monday)
‘It appears to have been a moped set on fire. The moped was leaning against a car which also caught fire as a result.’
