West Bridgford Junior School Community Food Festival – this Saturday!

Children at West Bridgford Junior School have been very busy this past month preparing for the first ever Community Food Festival.

The event is on this Saturday 21 May, from 11:30am till 14:30 at the Cottages site on Tudor Road.

This event promises to be a lot of fun, with a wide variety of food and drink stalls, live music and events (including a ‘bake off’!), and activities for children of all ages.

In addition, the festival is proud to support Guru Nanak’s Mission, which is a Nottingham based charity that for over eight years has been providing free hot meals to the homeless and vulnerable in and around Nottingham. This past year, they have been providing emergency food parcels to many in desperate need.

If you can help by donating any non-perishable goods that can be given to families in need, we will be collecting these at the Food Festival on Saturday. In particular, we could use:
Biscuits, Packet Soups, Tinned beans, Tinned vegetables, Tinned tomatoes, Toothpaste and Shower gel.

Please do come along, say hello, enjoy some tasty food from our school community, have some fun and help to support this fantastic cause!
