West Bridgford: Teenagers threatened man and stole his car in Lady Bay

Detectives are appealing for information after a driver was threatened in the street and had his car stolen.

The incident took place in Holme Road, West Bridgford, shortly after 6 pm on Saturday June 8 when two people, believed to be teenage boys, approached the victim.

The car was found abandoned and undamaged on the same road a few minutes later.

Detective Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a frightening incident for the victim who was simply going about his daily business when he was threatened in the street and had his car taken.

“We are investigating this as a robbery and have been conducting door-to-door inquiries in the local area in a bid to identify the people involved.

“Our investigation is currently ongoing, and we urge any local residents who have not yet spoken to us to come forward with relevant information.

“We would particularly like to speak to anyone with security or dashcam footage from around the time of this incident showing two or three teenage boys together.”
