West Bridgford: Tesco Compton Acres shoplifter jailed the day after being caught

On Wednesday 8 January, Special Constable Chaloner arrested a suspect on suspicion of theft from Tesco Compton Acres.

PC Chaloner was on mobile patrol with PCSO Bee, when a report of a theft from Tesco Compton Acres was reported to Nottinghamshire Police, they attended the area and located the male making off on foot.

On his arrest he was found in possession of a quantity of salmon, sea bass and pulled pork of an estimated value of £100.

Adam Hadfield was charged for a series of six thefts from shops in the West Bridgford area and was sentenced on 9 January 2025 at Nottingham Magistrate Court to 32 weeks in prison.
