A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed at a house in Wollaton.
Police were called to Harrow Road, Wollaton, Nottingham, around 8.20 pm on Thursday (14 March) following reports two people had been assaulted in a home.
A man and a woman suffered stab wounds and have been taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he was located a short time later.
Chief Inspector Ash Thornton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Officers have worked quickly and efficiently to locate a suspect.
“We believe this was an isolated incident within a home with no wider risk to the public. Residents can expect a police presence in the area while investigations take place and if anyone has any concerns I’d urge them to speak to an officer.”
Cllr Zafran Khan, Wollaton West ward on Nottingham City Council said:
‘I’m horrified and saddened to hear about the stabbing that occurred in Wollaton yesterday.
‘My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.
‘The police have reassured me that this was an isolated incident and thank you to the police for a swift response.’
