A young woman has died after a skydiving incident near Langar Airfield.
Emergency services were called at 12.13pm today (Sunday).
The woman, aged 22, was found in a nearby field and pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.
No one else was hurt and a file will now be prepared for the Coroner.
Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was a tragic incident, and we are working with partners to understand what happened.
“As our investigations continue at the scene, our thoughts are with the woman’s family and everyone else who has been affected by this incident.”
