Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a reported fail-to-stop collision in Scrooby.
A 56-year-old woman was hit by a silver or grey-coloured car which mounted the pavement in Gibbet Hill Lane.
The woman, who was thrown into a hedge following the collision, was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
The incident happened at around 6.45am today (Sunday 23 August 2020) outside the Riverside Fishery.
Sergeant Mark Lee, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a very serious incident and we urgently need to speak with the driver involved.
“Our investigations are ongoing and I would urge the driver to contact us as soon as possible.
“I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling along Gibbet Hill Lane at the relevant time and witnessed the collision to please come forward and I’m urging any motorists who captured any dashcam footage of the incident to please contact us.”
