A 13-year-old boy has been arrested following a robbery, which saw the victim being punched in the face and threatened with a pen knife.
Officers whilst out on patrol were able to quickly track down the boy who was then arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik of Nottinghamshire Police is leading the investigation.
He said: “This was a nasty incident which saw a teenage boy attacked in broad daylight at Farnborough Road in Clifton.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw the incident at around 2.15pm on Saturday afternoon to come forward and help with our enquiries.
“We quickly arrested one boy, a 13-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on police bail.
“Nottinghamshire Police takes knife crime very seriously and we will thoroughly investigate any incident reported to the force.
